Maal domestic debit card is Oman’s upcoming national payment card, being developed by the central bank of Oman (CBO) to strengthen the country’s digital payments infrastructure and financial self-reliance. It will be local payment solutions integrated with OmanNet, the national network, enabling secure transactions at point-of-sale (POS) terminals, cash withdrawals from ATMs, and online payments with Oman.
Domestic use:
Maal card will be valid for transactions within Oman, leveraging the national OmanNet network for payments.
Transaction type:
Users will be able to make payments at POS terminals (Contact and contactless), withdraw cash from ATMs, and conduct e-commerce transactions.
